Title: Million-Dollar Pound Cake

Yield: 16 servings
2 c Butter; softened
3 c Sugar
6 lg Eggs; room temp
2 ts Vanilla extract
4 c A-P flour
3/4 c Whole milk
Confectioners' sugar; opt
Set oven @ 300ºF/150ºC.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and
fluffy, 5 to 7 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
well after each addition. Beat in extract. Gradually add
flour alternately with milk, beating just until blended.
Pour into a greased and floured 10-in. tube pan. Bake
until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out
clean, 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan to a wire
rack to cool completely. If desired, sprinkle with
confectioners sugar.
