Programming can be anything from modifying and developing mods, writing a variety of coding languages out there such as creating door games, writing or working on current BBS software, the list could go on forever. Who here is a coder?

^^ OK, something is really effed up here, man.

I code in PERL mostly, I've done some JS stuff when I ran a site that used Google's geocoding and mapping APIs but since they started charging, I retired those sites, besides, I had long lost interest in them was running more as a courtesy to others. It was too much hassle and manual work involved, however.

I've been considering re-writing my old BBC Micro BBS that I created some time ago. I'd love to get my hand on the real thing but they're expensive, like a lot of retro kit is these days. I've found that I can internet connect BeebEM and need to look at the possibilities a little more. I'd also have to dig into dealing with rs423 communications which is a bit I borrowed from a fellow sysop.

I'm a software engineer professionally. I have a lot of experience with C++, but I've also used Python, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Java, and various other languages for various things. I've done development for Windows, Linux, and Android (and just a little development work for iOS and Mac).
