• Local guitar store closing

I got an email this morning saying one of my local guitar stores (Apple Music Row in Portland, Oregon) is closing after 40 years because they're retiring. I'm a little sad to see a locally-owned store closing, and a bit surprised since they've been there so long (I'd hope they would have found new owners to carry on the store). There are a few couple other local guitar stores in my area that I know of, but this one was one of the bigger ones. I bought a guitar (a G&L Comanche) from this store last year. http://www.mynewsletterbuilder.com/email/newsletter/1412334065

That's sad. A Guitar is something you really need to play before you buy. I could never buy a Guitar online or out of a magazine.

I have before, mainly because I thought the guitar seemed really nice and I didn't see any of the local guitar shops carry any in stock. Overall I think it turned out fairly well. One of the realities in today's world is that
there are just so many more products available online than in local stores (which can only carry limited quantities on hand). Thankfully, some guitar stores (such as Guitar Center) have a 30-day no-hassle return policy in case you're not satisfied with a purchase.
