Intel Security SNS Notice: Final Update for Planned Changes to McAfee DAT Files - Change 2 to Occur January 31
As previously announced, there are two modifications scheduled for V2 and V3 DATs:
The first change, updated digital certificates included in the DATs, has been in effect since November 8, 2016, and will be included in every subsequent DAT.
The second change, involving dual-signing of xdat.exe and v3_dat.exe files using two digital certificates, is scheduled to go live on January 31, 2017.
