    4. MSME 7.6 Rollup2 Is Now Available

    May 14, 2013

    MSME 7.6 Rollup2 is now available for download. This release includes new features, fixes, and enhancements including:

    File Filtering rule triggered for a .cab file was incorrectly detected under the category "windows executable" instead of "archive".
    When a .ZIP file with Japanese characters in the filename was detected by MSME, the file was renamed after scanning.
    Cross-site scripting and Persistent XSS were observed in the MSME web configuration console.
    Emails were queued when specific ".mif" files were scanned.
    Unable to release emails containing spaces in the "Display Name" field, from the quarantine database.
    Microsoft Exchange Transport service failed to start on a Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP3 server when MSME is installed.

    7. EMM Upgrade Fails if Android 4.2 Devices are Provisioned

    May 9, 2013

    After Android 4.2 devices have been provisioned for Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) 10.1.x, 10.0.x, or 9.7.2, any attempt to upgrade to a later version of EMM fails.

    McAfee is working on a resolution for this issue. Until a permanent solution is available, McAfee recommends that customers with environments that match these conditions postpone upgrading to a later version of EMM.

    8. McAfee Security for Domino on Linux 7.5 And 7.5.1 End of Life Announcement

    May 16, 2013

    McAfee announces the End of Life (EOL) for McAfee Security for Domino on Linux (MSDL) Versions 7.5 and 7.5.1 effective June 30, 2014. After this date the product will not be available for purchase or download.

    McAfee will continue to support McAfee Security for Domino on Windows (MSDW), and McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange (MSME). MSDL customers are entitled to use MSDW and MSME in their environments.

    10. Web Gateway 7.0.x End of Life Announcement

    May 16, 2013

    McAfee previously announced the End of Life (EOL) for Web Gateway 7.0.x effective December 31, 2012.

    As of June 30, 2013, updates for the scanning engines, including the Anti-Malware engine, will no longer be available for Web Gateway version 7.0.x and earlier. Updates will continue for 7.1.x and later.

    McAfee recommends upgrading to a supported version to benefit from the latest software developments and to avoid interruption of product support.

    11. End of Support for Enterprise Mobility Management 9.7.x, 9.6.x and 9.5.x

    McAfee is announcing End of Support (EOS) for the following versions of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM):

    9.7.x
    9.6.x
    9.5.x

    These versions will not be supported after May 13, 2013. Customers still using version 9.7.x or earlier should plan on upgrading to EMM 10.2 before the End of Support date.

    12. Revised EOL Date for IronMail Software *IMPORTANT*

    McAfee announces March 31, 2014 as the revised end-of-life (EOL) date for all Email Gateway v6.x (IronMail) software. This announcement applies ONLY to the IronMail software. Hardware EOL dates are unaffected.

    McAfee strongly recommends that customers plan to upgrade to the latest version of McAfee Email Gateway as soon as possible.
