  • Pickleball / Paddle Tennis?

    When I was in college back in the 90's a friend and I decided to sign up for a Paddle Tennis class on quarter. We thought it was Ping Pong and would be a fun PE class. We soon found out it wasn't!

    Turns out Paddle Tennis is like tennis, only using a big paddle and on a much smaller court. Not what we expected, but I did enjoy the course. (Side note, I met a girl there and was going to try to ask her out, but unfortunately she dropped the class before I could, but thats another story!)

    Anyway, I was listening to Rick & Bubba a few days ago and they were talking about Pickleball. I did a little googling and it sounds an awful lot like Paddle Tennis. Anyone know if the two are one and the same?

    They are not the same. Pickleball using something resembling a whiffle ball, and the paddle is different. I would have to Google paddle tennis to see the differences. It might be fun for me to do that so I can give a more informed response.
