I recently purchased a new DJI Mini 3 Pro (because of the whole DRONE MUST TRANSMIT LOCATION law the FAA passed for SEP 2023 - but it was delayed again until the beginning of the year.) My Phantom 4 does not send out its location, but my M3P does by default. I have an FAA agreement/contract on file with my local Air Force Base. I asked for it to last until DEC 31st 2023, but the FAA edited it and granted it for 3 years until AUG 2026. I still have to ask permission to TAKE OFF with the controller because some private land across the river from me is been listed as an AIR FIELD since like 1952? It doesn't exist (especially after the multiple floods we've had). I asked the FAA to review and unblock me as there is no contact and no physical landing strip.
My HOSS is still dirty from the last run I did on the property behind my house. They stripped everything and demolished all buildings to make way for a new child day care or something. That was fun! Broke the little plastic fan shroud so it overheated and I had to purchase a replacement. But all-in-all, the HOSS is a touch little beast that is way too fast for a small lot. I mounted a camera onto it and recorded stuff as if you were looking through the windshield, so that was also kinda neat/fun.
