I have 2 favorite hobbies, and they both involve a keyboard. First, I love playing the organ. I have been playing since 1963; still only a hobbyist, but I play for local art fairs, etc.
Second, I love computers. I got my first computer in the mid-80's, a TI-994A. I subscribed to Boardwalk magazine so I could learn a bit about how to program it.
Then it was a 286 computer that came with a years free
subscription to Prodigy. I was hooked at that point. I had to start my own BBS after the subscription ran out. I purchased the DOS version of Mustang's Annihilator software and had 4 phone lines coming into my house.
That is when I started HobbyNet. I lived in the Fort Lauderdale area and was connected to about 20 or so other systems from Miami in dade County up to the Palm Beach county. All done via telephone lines.
I recently purchased a refurbished computer, on which I am running my Mystic system. I am having a blast setting up the various Networks, and I am amazed how fast this computer is.
Keyboards are my thing!
