I still have PS2 somewhere in my entertainment room and a few dozens of games too, but quite recently as a part of my data preservation effort
I grabbed all I could find for the platform as ISO backups from the
net.
PS2 emus are solid these days and enhance graphics capabilities
targeting HD screens too.
So even tho I have DVD boxes for many of the games, I sentimentally started testing them in emulated environment.
Testing means, If they are still playable and enjoyable after all those years.
And I can tell you, yes they are. Many details must be of course
forgiven but general principle of great console game that you can enjoy offline with all that attention whore crap of the current era is still beating many modern games, by a range!
I played first Ratched and Clank, Puzzle Quest, SSX, Even Call of Duty
3 is fun game albeit the fact I always thought it's been the worst from first COD games and until World at War showed up COD 2 on X360 was my benchmark for WWII game.
Lots fun and 15h lost in time in last week experimenting with all that stuff.

I just watch a YT video coving ALL the various PS2 mods... from HDMI out to jailbreaks to SDCard add-ons... even m0re - looked pretty fun.
