I've been watching Picard Season 3. I almost didn't bother after last season, but it's been (for the most part) a much better experience than the first two seasons, and really feels like a legit TNG reunion.
We've also been watching The Mandolorian (but are a few episodes behind) and I've been half-watching TNG while I goof off on the computer. I'm almost to the good 'beard' years. :D
Picard Season 3 has been great, the last episode was 20 years in the
making.

I've also been watching Star Trek: Discovery. I've seen it through
season 3 and will be starting season 4 fairly soon.

I still have my issues with it here and there, but overall it's much better than season one and MUCH better than season two, imo. At this point, my biggest complaint is that they're *really* dragging out the
big reveal on who the bad guys *really* are...
I've heard Brent Spiner has said multiple times that he feels it would make sense for him to stop playing Data (and Lore) he has aged out of those roles (where the characters aren't supposed to visibly age), but
it seems they keep finding a way to have him keep playing Data. In a
way, it probably made more sense for him to play different Soong characters (which he had been doing).
I just...couldn't. I watched up until 3rd season, but after the episodes with Pike, Number One, and Spock, I was like... "This. I want *THIS*."
I'm happy to say that Strange New Worlds gave me that and more. It is, IMO, the best first season of Trek we've had since TOS.
I expect Will and Deanna's daughter will play a upcoming role in some
new Star Trek in the coming year or so. I wonder if a show based on
Star Fleet Academy will soon arrive as an announcement.
I didn't mind the first season of Picard, I liked it more than Season 2
which although interesting seemed like a rehash of much of Star Trek
The Voyage Home.
Strange New Worlds has been a great show so far. I'm glad Season 2 was
green lighted early on. I'm looking forward to it.
I'd heard/read?? that Spiner didn't want to play Data again and only appeared in the characters he did play in Season 2 because of that desire. But I'm glad he's back as Data in Season 3 and I think some nice touches in Episode 8 when Geordi and Data get to chat and share some thoughts / feelings :)

For a long time, I've thought it would be good to see a movie or TV
series featuring the Enterprise B or C, since we only ever saw those
once each. The 'Lost Era' seems like a big opportunity that that they haven't developed.
Come for the TNG reunion, stay for the Shaw/Seven spinoff
possibilities...
That's got me re-watching DS9, starting, of course, with "Into the
Pale Moonlight".
I'd follow Pike to the ends of the universe if I were in Starfleet, and
I very much enjoyed Hemmer's role as the mentor.
That would be really cool, particularly since we know how things end for the ìC. Have an entire series featuring Garrett in command of the C, and then the ìlast episode could be the Battle of Nerenda III viewed from the other side of ìthe temporal rift. Go all 'Empire Strikes Back' on it and end it on a real ìdowner! :D
Since they referenced Captain Garrett in Picard with a statue, I'd love
to see her kicking some Romulan ass before going through the rift. You
have to figure the captain of a flagship would have to be something
pretty amazing to merit a statue. I'd like to see the E-C take out 3 of
the Romulans before going out.

I'm pretty sure the Star Fleet Academy show (which they've been talking about for a few years now) was actually announced as being officially 'greenlit' a week or so back.
The first season had a decent story that was poorly written. The second season had a poor story that was poorly written. The third season has a pretty decent story that's for the most part well written. My problem
with season two is that I just didn't care about the story. There was nothing really compelling there.
I've been watching both of those also.. am also a few episodes behind
in The Mandolorian..just watched one episode that felt like it was
another show altogether..
If that was the one with the Dr. that worked for Gideon that you're talking about.....
Fear not... it gets better. Much better.

Yeah, we finally caught up this last weekend. That definitely felt
like it was part of the story that could have been told in snippets
over a few episodes, instead of dumping it all at once and losing
focus from what the actual Mandolorian was up to.

No, it's part of the story that could have been completely left out
without me ever feeling like my life was lacking in some way. :)
