  • SSH issue on prealpha 2020/03/11

    Fresh install of latest prealpha, Ubuntu 18.04/WSL. using cryptlib 3.4.4.1 (3.45 won't compile, even with -a).

    When I connect vis SSH I get this error:

    ERROR: Unable to access USERS.DAT

    Has anyone else encountered this error?

    3.4.4.1 (3.45 won't compile, even with -a).

    I seem to recall I had to use an older cryptlib as well.

    When I connect vis SSH I get this error:

    ERROR: Unable to access USERS.DAT

    I haven't seen that error. It works when you use telnet?

    Yes, telnet works. Just SSH generates that error on connect...

    Just to follow up. I upgraded the subsystem to WSL2, installed a fresh Mystic instance on Ubuntu--I still had to use the older cryptlib--but no more error!

    What file permisions are on the file and what user are you running Mystic
    or MIS as?
