    Ok, what is supposed to go in the config folder? It is empty by default and everytime I try to access my web pages my browser just times out.

    I don't think anything needs to go into the cfg folder. You running mis as root? Do you have access to bind to port 80? Any firewall config to mess with? It just worked for me when I set it up. You've got "cfg" and "www" inside your webroot folder, right? an index.html file inside www (but missing it wouldn't explain the hanging)?

    That being said, I believe the mystic web server literally just serves static web pages. You may be better off spending some time to set up another web server option - nginx, lighttpd, apache, etc. Then it's easy to add a scripting language like php or python. Easy enough since you're on linux. That's the way I'm planning to go once I get to that step.

    I've looked at it and it didn't make much sense, I was hoping that MysticGuy had a video showing how to set up the other servers, but he doesn't.

    Yes, I've checked all of that.

    I may just go with Apache. I've used in the past and think I can remember how to configure it. Sure didn't have this kind of trouble when I was using the HTTP server in SyncroBBS, but that was under windows. Have not been able to get it working on Linux.

    This is exactly right, I use it and it works a treat for static html only websites like hugo.

    To make it work, enable the http server, then inside your mystic dir make a webroot dir if it isn't already there, then inside that dir you will need a cfg dir and a www dir, then just make your index.html inside the www dir and you'll be golden.

    Don't overthink it, it's really a pretty basic and simple web server, if you want anything beyond basic html, go with something separate - but using the mystic web server allows you to offer file downloads using http protocol as well as regular zmodem/ymodem/etc.

    Just my £0.02 =)
