    Hi all,

Setup Mystic BBS after following Paul/Avon's YouTube guide!

I'm looking to get the Event's working correctly so it'll poll, send and toss.

Any tips or guides would be great!

    Thanks,

    B

Are those things not covered in the YouTube video guides?

I would suggest two separate events..

    1) Poll to retreive mail and toss incoming
    2) Scan outgoing and poll to send mail

This way you can poll for mail and toss it however much you feel necessary, and then you can setup your 'scan outgoing' event with a semaphore when a user (or yourself) has posted a message(s), and logs off.

    Regards,
    Nick

Thanks for the tips - I think I was over thinking it...

All I needed to do was `./mutil mailout && ./mis poll forced && ./mutil mailin' That should package outbound, send it + get inbound, and then toss it (i think is the right term?)

Well done getting it sorted out! I think ./mis poll forced hits all your uplinks, which wouldn't be necessary for every piece of outgoing mail. I think you can just do a ./mis poll when you're sure there's outgoing mail and it will pick the correct nodes to poll.

I do a ./mis poll forced every hour to pull incoming mail. I will probably even scale that back since incoming crash seems to be working fine.
