    This week I learned of my connection to Stephen King and movie stars acting in the King
    movies. I am:

    Hm, I don't remember checking how far I am from Stephen King, but I am 2 degrees from Kevin Bacon. Someone in the movie I was in was also in a
    movie starring Bacon.

    His example seemed more about the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, which is about people being in films with him. Or a similar thing with Erdös in Mathematics, which is connecting people who wrote a paper with him.

    None of which are a genetic connection.

    But genealogy can be fun, especially as you find out more random things of interest. E.g., a trip I took that had a lot of interesting things, including going to a church that an ancestor had been baptized at, and finding out that I'm probably related to some of the people who go to that church _now_.
