So, uhm, what's the state of linux phones these days? ... I honestly do
not want to switch to another platform in the near future.
Short term solution is jumping to GrapheneOS. It is an Android-based
system that works without any google components whatsoever (that is not their selling point but it is a feature it has). If you need Google material you can install it inside of a sandbox.
