    Scenerio:

    I load bnu.com from the command prompt and then do a 'max -w'<enter>

    I connect just fine to localhost using netrunner/syncterm.

    I hit Goodbye and let Maximus hang up on me.

    I do another 'max -w'<enter>

    The problem is:

    After above I connect to localhost and then Maximus terminates the connection.

    ...why is this?

    I can sometimes get it working again if I kill some tasks that look com port related. Rebooting gets it working again.

    is this dosbox or real hardware or some other vm?

    try x00 instead of bnu, AKAcastor uses x00 on Another Millenium with DOSBOX-X.

    DOSBOX =)

    DOSBOX doesn't seem to use a config.sys file so I wasn't sure how to load x00.sys, I tried another fossil driver (ADF) and I don't have the problem anymore!

    Thanks!

    Rename X00.SYS to X00.EXE and it works fine. Also, add the E parameter (X00 E) to not show the delay screen.

    ... Let's you and him fight.

    That's great you found a FOSSIL driver working with DOSBox.

    I am also using DOSBox (the DOSBox-X fork), though I am booting MS-DOS 6.22 inside of it by using imgmount to mount a .img as drive C and then using "boot -l c". I guess I feel like it is a more authentic fake DOS environment, to be running MS-DOS. haha :) Booting MS-DOS in this way does have some disadvantages, as the DOSBox DOS allows mounting directories and other conveniences that are lost in MS-DOS.

    Hahaha! That's awesome. Thanks.
