  • Is Usenet ASCII only?

    I'm farting around with Usenet. What a trainwreck it has become. But I digress...

    Does Usenet only support ASCII? No extended ASCII? I just want to be sure my settings are correct.

    Usenet uses the same message format as email. It depends on the news client if it can display extended ASCII. Nowadays I would use UTF-8.
