I was listening to a "conservative" podcaster earlier tonight who was suggesting that "NY Governor Hochul could impeach NYC Mayor Mamdani for breaking the law, which he did when he opened a socialist grocery store."

I don't know how true any of those statements are true, but let's assume they are and here's my hypothesis: If Hochul becomes "the governor who impeached the Socialist mayor, in defense of democracy," then that could help her re-election effort.

This wouldn't override Ron's suggestion that there really is a "DSA" chapter of Democrats trying to take over the party, but it could be a symptom of the "Soros Democrats" fighting back; throw a DSA Dem under the bus, and save her seat as the governor of NY? Hell yea, she'd do that, and George would support her all the way.

But too many people wouldn't see it that way.

    1. The communists would be outraged - and they ARE a signiticant force in the Democrat party now due to the Soros Dems' policies.
    2. The rest of us would see it as "The governor who is fighting the Socialists in her own party to decide to gets to be in charge." and you know that the Communists would elect another Mamdani right after that anyway.

Yea, I don't expect a fair mayoral election to ever occur in NYC, but my point is that they can afford to do some shuffling if that's what it takes to keep Hochul as governor.

NYC's GOP candidate has Curtis Sliwa in 2021, 2025, and he said he will run again in 2029. IOW: The left has nothing to lose in NYC. It's Albany that they're worried about.

Exactly. They "make" their living off of exploiting the wealth of others.

If there's no one to exploit, they have no income.

Marx figured that out toward his end. The "Rise of the proletariat" never happened. Why? Because capitalism made the working class wealthy as well compared to what they used to be.

And you make a good point: The people pushing for socialism are from wealth, but lack the ability to create wealth themselves.

They get a free ride through college. They never actually do any research into whether their degree can do anything. They graduate but can't find any company willing to pay 6 figures and a corner office for their useless degree.

Their parents are partly at fault, since they should have made their kids actually WORK at some point (although you can make an argument that multi-millionaires don't want their kids in a situation where they can be kidnapped). The education system is partly at fault, pushing the idea that you "need a degree". Colleges and Hollywood reinforce that idea through propaganda.

The result: a bunch of young adults who never had to deal with the real world, can't think for themselves, but have a very high opinion of themselves.

So life isn't "fair" because THEY are the ones who are supposed to be on the top - like Dad. So back to the idea of getting the gov't to FORCE that "fairness" on the world.

Once again we trapped ourselves into thinking that other coutries despise their governements so much, they will jump at the chance to overthrow the present regime doing the work for us. When most of the people on the ground there either still rememeber WHY the current regime is in place, (The British and US government overthrew a legally elected government and didn't like their politics putting in place a leader who ruled with an iron first and tortured and or murdered anyone who apposed it. Impeachment or the 25th, this guy has to go! We may not have 2 years.

We have already spent 2 years waiting for soemone willing to take the higher ground in the Legislative branch, all we have had is crickets. The only branch that seems willing to do their job has been the Judicial and everytime a Federal judge from the lower courts or SCOTUS steps in, the right screams that they are the problem.

Let me be clear, I have said from the beginning of Trump's second term, I understand how we got here! Not only has this country been in a cycle (Probbably since Geroge W. Bush), of electing successors that are further left/right leaning then their predicossors. It is like a huge pendulum swinging, each swing destroying more and more of what the United States fundamentally is about. Further exacerbating this is that congress has ceded more and more authority to the Executive Branch, allowing the President to infact enact laws via Executive Order, removing the checks and balances 3 seperate branches of government was intended to achieve. In effect President Trump has been given the power to create national policy not simply execute what our elected representatives create and pass. This power needs to be placed back where it belongs

Wow! Look at all the revisionist history going on in a single post.

First.. The middle class of the 1950's was due to massive governmetn subsidised public works projects at the tail end of The Great Depression and WWII. Massive government public works projects like the Hoover Dam, Interstate Highway System, and males being able to get cheap university education thanks for the G.I. bill.

While "mothers" were able to stay at home, the vast majority of families did not have two cars (only 14% by 1959).

You are 0/3, do you want me to wade into the tighly controlled banking regulations at the time that blow your "unrestrained capitolism is good for America theory?"

Those large public works projects started under FDR (Democrat), carried forward by Truman (Democrat), and left in place by a moderate Republican Eisenhower.

Yes, but our SoS (who facilitated it) still walks free.

I think the fear of God should be in aliens to make sure they are not registered and that they do not vote.

They don't "vote" anyway. They are on the rolls only to keep the number "correct". So if every precinct has a 150% voter turnout, that's good evidence of fraud. So they want the rolls bloated to keep that number at around 90% for when they bring in the pre-printed fake ballots.

There is nothing we can do about the dead people voting, other than cleaning up the registrations.

We did that here already. And our SoS put them all back. Gotta keep those rolls bloated or people will notice the fake ballots.

Someone should be asking the question how are dead people voting and
whyu is it that thee people are always voting Democrat.

    We already know why.

I'm still waiting for the people who created this to be punished.

... You can go home now, I can finish this without you.
