    What is the point of senate confirmation hearings?

    US senators are not law experts. They're political puppets, much like US Reps are. If they have a HS diploma, US residency, and a friendship with a wealthy criminal like George Soros, then they get the honor of serving as your senator and the privilege of harassing your president elect's nominees.

    These confirmation hearings demonstrate the IQ of the senators who ask the questions.

    Anyone else following the hearings? Any helpful questions been asked yet? (I haven't heard any yet!)
