    AFAIK WinPoint is currently the only Fidonet editor that automatically uses the charset of the replied-to message.

    OK now that is interesting. The one I posted didn't reach this BBS intact,
    but the one you posted (in the Subject and body) did.

    I would guess it is because your message included the characters CP437
    kludge. That said, I don't know that my tosser here is new enough to know what that is, and I know the BBS software has no clue about it. ;)
