It will be appealed, and then some more, and then some more ...
If ever he gets to the USA, they have a problem. He could be convicted in the US but serve his time in an Australian facility ...
You should read up on the strange case of Dominique Prieur ... sentenced to 10 years for the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior but allowed to serve her time on French territory, Hao-island, a tropical resort where she got pregnant and subsequently sent to France for "health reasons" ...
Strange things happen in life ...

We know in the meantime how well you research the news when posting here, which is why I am not surprized you have no clue.
As part of the deal of the extradition request the US has agreed on the type of sentencing if found guilty and agreed any such sentence could be fullfilled in Australia. A death sentence is by definition ruled-out.

It's very funny to see that comment from citizen of Russian where journalists are beeing jailed for treason every year.
Ivan Safronov is currently on trial and this trial is just a joke.
And even go to the street to protest against that is a crime.
That's why Snowden is quite about war in Ukraine, because he knows the limits. And don't wont go try Russian jail, where torture is a very common thing.

Your question/remark is justified.
For my part I like to see the level of nonsense which can be reached by Russian trolls ... It's amazing.
Venting this nonsense is one thing, but believing it? I cannot wrap my mind around it all this is happening and someone really honestly believes it.
It is the single biggest carefully plotted propaganda effort in world history, even Goebels did not reach this level ...
And it's not just Putin, it's a carefully oiled well running machine.
I just hope that in a few years, Russians will not have to say "Wir haben es nicht gewueszt" ...

He supports Putin in whatever he does but I don't think that makes him a troll. A blind follower perhaps.
He is trolling in this area. He could find a more topical area to post in. I have given him suggestions but he doesn't seem to be willing to move to a more appropriate area.

The military says about 27 sailors missed and 1 dead. I don't think it
is a lie for two reasons. First, it impossible to hide big numbers of
dead, second, the blow on the ship was local, and they even tried to tag
it to Sevastopol. But another matter when you open your eyes wider, to
see big numbers of killed, and 28 is not big enough.

The military says about 27 sailors missed and 1 dead. I don't think it
is a lie for two reasons.
Whatever ... after 15 days it is safe to say 28 dead then, if the numbers are correct these people are not going to show-up suddenly.
First, it impossible to hide big numbers of dead...
Russia's been doing it for over 2 months now ... lovely satellite images of mass burials...
the blow on the ship was local ..,
I don't know what you mean by that ... it sank a vessel that size ... the damage was obvious on the images.
But another matter when you open your eyes wider, to
see big numbers of killed, and 28 is not big enough.
You remind me of Stalin's words ... a person killed is terrible, a million people killed is a statistic.

A big military vessel, consists of isolated armoured compartments.
Sailors are like sitting in several tanks which standing next to each
other. When one tank blows up the people from other tanks can easily
stay alive. A big number of victims could have been if the ship sank
quickly, within minutes.
Bye, Ward!

Our Ministry of defence even faked video with "alive" sailors - it used pre-disaster film and combined it with new footage.
How can you trust them? No way.
Those bastards are just pathetic.

So, it looks like BBSes at least are a fairly reliable form of communication out of Russia. Go figure... Go BBSES! :)

The Moskva has .... ehr .... had .... only 50mm deck armour extending to the bow but not to the stern and only 50mm of side armour the length of the citadel. It was not a battleship and definitely poorly armoured. The armour was designed for classic gunnery. The citadel was not protected and there are ... ehr ...were ... no internal armoured compartments.
Its counter measures against low flying missiles were laughable and as such there are several design flaws. The more you read about that vessel, the more it becomes obvious it was a sitting duck when attacked..
