    In general, when I first set DB up for the first time, would it be best toconfigure as a stand alone mailer before configuring it with a tosser for abulletin board? Focus is on an FTN network like Fido, Metronet, WWIVnet, FSXnetetc.

    There really is no right or wrong way. DB can be configured however you wish.
