• Dbridge and Windows 11

From RickV@1:154/110 to All on Mon Jun 1 08:16:15 2026
    Hello everybody!

I have been trying to ply with Dbridge on Windows 11/64, but it starts and just sits there. Will it run under Win 11 x64?

Its a 16-bit MS-DOS program, so it will require NTVDM64 or to be ran on 32-bit Windows.

Ok. I am running Windows 11 x64 with ntvdmx64, and am also running alot of 16 bit doors. The problem I was having to get Dbridge to work was after I installed it, and tried to run it for the first time, it said it was running under OS/2 and stopped working and sat there. I'll keep trying.

    Thanks,
    RickV

Just wondering ... will like the old BASICs also run under NTVDM64?

    They should...

I cannot guarantee or vouch for Ntvdm64, only that it is possible to run DOS.

There is an option in the setup to specify what OS its running on.

You also need the content of line 2 for that link.

    Works.

It would be very nice, if just for the moment, you would not assume that I
just got my first computer yesterday.

I used the original link having added 2nd line to content and it is not the
    one above.

    It is :
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PuExKv8EPWtHMO0P_Occ6ZGNL9lfVo-M/view

    I tested the one above.

+ I do not what width you are using for your mail reader so covered any possible issue by adding to the comment about 2nd line

I'm not sure what else I can suggest other than what I've stated before:

    - D'Bridge is a 16-bit MS-DOS program that was never designed for emulators. The recommended operating systems are listed in the Readme file.

    - Every so often people try to run D'B on emulators, with varying degrees of success, but I cannot provide tech support for that, also in the Readme file.
