    Title: Harvest Cranberry Sauce (Fresh)
    Categories: Sauces
    Yield: 1 Batch

    1 c Water
    1/4 c Granulated sugar
    12 oz Fresh cranberries
    1 c Brown sugar; packed
    1 c Dry red wine
    1/2 ts Ground cloves
    2 tb Corn starch

    Combine water and granulated sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil,
    stirring to dissolve. Simmer 5 minutes to form a syrup. Add berries
    and simmer an additional 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients,
    dissolving corn starch in wine first, and simmer until thickened.
    This will make about twice as much as the canned berry version.

    Serve Cranberry Sauce with Harvest Meat Loaf; spoon over sliced loaf
    and pass extra. The sauce is also good with chicken or pork dishes,
    and is great served on bread pudding. A teaspoon of commercially
    dried orange zest can be added to the sauce if you like.
