So, Commodore will be releasing the C=64C Ultimate.

This actually has me thinking of possibly putting down the money to buy on use as a terminal to call my BBS and development!

I always did like the C style case.

Or maybe I should hold out for a future C=128 Ultimate?

The C128 was a computer without a direction.

It was a C64 - which is probably what most people used it for - with all
the limitations of a C64.

It was a CP/M machine - at a time when CP/M was on the downward spiral.
And you needed the special, faster floppy drives to make it work
decently, which made the C128 more expensive than other CP/M systems.

And it was a C128 - with 80 columns, updated BASIC, etc. But they
didn't give it enough video RAM to get all the colors in 80 column mode.
So you were stuck using it in monochrome mode.

I am 45 now so EVERYTHING was too expensive for me back then LOL. I was enjoying the CoCo2 at my house and the TI-99/4A at my grandfather's. My aunt and uncle had an IBM XT, and when he brought a Macintosh II home from his office, MY MIND WAS BLOWN. Memories of that Mac is what made me start vintage collecting with Macs. I love getting to experience alternate childhoo realities today!

LOL you and me both!! I owned more Commodore stuff then I care to admit! A3000 with GVP 2 serial port card for 2 modems, extra 290meg SCSI HD, amongst other things. An A500 with sidecar 120 meg SCSI HD with 8megs of Fast Ram. C64 with Lt Kernal, C128 with the Lt Kernal Muxer to share the LTK between both the C64 and C128! Proably 6 modems between them all! When they went belly up I sold the 3000 to buy a PC! 11 years later I gave away all that was left!
