2) 2013 Trashcan Mac. Upgrade the processor and replace the PRAM
battery. Not sure what I will do with this in the long run, but I will
use it as a temporary server while I upgrade 2 of my other Windows
boxes. It may just end up replacing a NUC that runs my BBSs in
emulation. ** Will have to be careful, as working on the trashcans
looks like a PITA!
Part of me really wants to resurrect one of those old Intel Mac Pro
tower systems - the hardware design is peak Apple. 12 Xeon cores, lots
of memory expansion -- wouldn't want the power bill, though.
1) Replace the battery in a 2015 Macbook Pro. Which I will either try
to load Windows 11 Pro on (I hear it is a pain, but is possible.). Or Linux and run Win11 Pro in a VM.
Nice - I also have some 2015-2018 Macbooks... you can also use OCLP (OpenCore Legacy Patcher) to get newer versions of macOS installed - all the way up to Sequoia even - its worked really well for me on those years of MBPs. I suggest one or two version before Sequoia - still can do modern web and aren't as bulky as Sequoia...

So I have a couple of projects for a couple of old Intel Macs.
