  • Polling another node

    So I have Synchronet and FIDO setup nicely on my BBS that I have recently setup, however I have been asked to poll another node to test that my setup is OK.

    This request has come from my NC, however I am not sure how I can poll another node in Synchronet for just a "one off" as such?

    I've looked through the wiki and I am still unsure on how I can acheive this, so any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    binkit.js supports the -l [node] option to force the poll of a specific node. https://wiki.synchro.net/module:binkit

    Show him a screenshot of your setup. That's the great way to show
    you are setup correctly. I've never heard of this before.

    I've setup fidonet just fine and setup other people. i still don't fully understand it. but you get the numbers right and it works. I've even fixed setups that 'experts' made on other systems that had mistakes.

    I see you're on Linux, so you could do this:

    /sbbs/exec/jsexec binkit.js -l x:xxx/xxx

    /sbbs/exec/jsexec binkit.js -l x:xxx/xxx
