Re: my 2 cents

I think it depends on the stadium and team. There is absolutely no reason to have built a new Yankee Stadium except now the team can charge $2500 for behind home plate for 1 game. The Tampa Rays, who are in the World Series (which is great cause as far as the Yanks go, they can go f$#% themselves) charge $12,500 for season tickets. So for what you would pay for 5 games in NY you can go to 81 in some parks. There is too much history there to just throw it away.
On the other hand, look at those loser San Francisco Giants. Those losers needed to build a new stadium because their whole time until the new
stadium was built, they played in a football stadium. Even those losers
will never win a World Series again, they have a great stadium which they sadly needed.
Just a note, here now are the oldest stadiums in order:
1. Fenway Park (1912), Boston Red Sox
2. Wrigley Field (1914), Chicago Cubs
3. Dodgers Stadium (1962), Los Angeles Dodgers
4. Angel Stadium (1966), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
5. Oakland-Alameda Cty Stadium(now McAfee Coliseum) (1966), Oakland Athletics
It is almost guaranteed that the top 4 will stay for a long time. They
tried for a new Fenway Park and it was shot down by fans so bad I don't think they will try anytime soon. Wrigley Field of the 4 would be my pick
to go first but I highly doubt it now that they have lights. Dodgers Stadium has a plan in motion for it to be around 50 more years, which is awesome because they are my team. Angel Stadium was completely renovated once they lost the Rams. The Oakland A's are in the works for a new stadium and for sure they will get one at some point.
Of the 5 oldest, the best has to be by far Dodgers Stadium with second I would say Wrigley Field with all the viewage from the buildings behind the stadium which is so cool.
