That passage of scripture refers to a human that was deceived into
taking the mark of the beast either in their right hands or foreheads. What happens to firewood when its done burning? It gives off smoke.
How can you be sure that the book written by men depicts anything close to
the truth?

Telling half-assed stories is suppose to help? Have you even done your due diligence? We're talking about the disposition of your soul here. Are you going to believe the snake-oil salesmen who gave you a claim, and not even
test their claim to make sure it's true? Please don't insult my intelligence by claiming that the bible is true. Quoting the bible is only going to show that you would rather reinforce your beliefs rather than investigate your beliefs.
It sounds to me like our are more attached to your beliefs than you are to
