    Anyone tried out the latest Slackware 13.0 64-bit?

    I just grabbed the 32-bit DVD .iso via BitTorrent and 64-bit .iso should
    be finished by the morning. I'd like to go with the 64-bit version, but
    I only have two 64-bit machines here and they are both 'production'
    systems. I don't want to be using either of them to be experimenting with Slackware's first *official* 64-bit release.

    So if you're running Slack64, tell me what I have to watch out for. Or otherwise, I'll have to buy myself a new machine just for experimenting!
    And I really can't afford it right now...

    you have'nt been able to try it out yet.. slackware is about the only linux distro I like, other than that I have to put my money on FreeBSD.

    I haven't tried it yet either. I'm still using slackware 12.1.

    Nope. VERY happy with Ultimate Edition 2.3

    It has LOTS of great games installed, but also has just about ANY piece of software you'll need.

    i checked it out, i wasnt impressed.
    i'm not sure if you REALLY could call it a gamer version.
