I ripped all my music CDs to FLAC & MP3 (I still have my CDs) and
copied the MP3s to my phone, USB drive for my car, etc. - I didn't
want to have to buy all my music again in a downloadable format, and I figured most people were probably the same in wanting to rip their
music CD library..

How large was/is your CD collection?
I have nearly 2000 pieces, and I've already gotten rid of a few hundred over the years.
Not long ago, I nearly convinced myself to settle into a CD-to-FLAC backup routine for my collection. I would *love* to have a searchable and quick visual glance of my CDs. Trying to keep my current collection organized in some way, now that I've had 4 moves under my belt, is hard to do when the CDs have gone into and out of boxes several times. Now I just have stacks upon stacks or boxes upon boxes.
