    .
I am Deavmi/Diskette/Disquette. But you can call me Tristan B. Kildaire.

I want to start my own hub with a focus on programming but I also want to make sure that all the nodes which are connected to my hub are uniform in the way they present themselves to their users, hence I want them to use the Bootstrap web interface found on many BBSes's HTTP portal such as eChicken BBS or DarkAges BBS.

I was also thinking about more deeper things, like are there ways to get the BBSes to sync in a peer-to-peer way without a central hub? Anyway, that is why I came and posted here today.

Further help or suggestions would be nice. I am thinking about writing up a manifesto for the network as well. It will be a nice little side-prohect/hobby for me as a programmer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am Deavmi/Diskette/Disquette. With zero traffic. I'm a member and I get nothing form the network. I've logged into the hub and checked the message bases and it's been several months without a post.

Yes, I've found one has to keep your own network alive, and even then it can be tough. Automated postings don't really work, from experience, interesting posts by a human are much better attention grabbers.

I'm pretty demanding of my interfaces, especially for reading mail. Speed of message access and speed of navigation are paramount. The fact that the web access is online precludes that (network lag with HTTP adds up pretty fast). However, I know other people are different, and I'm not against providing a decent web interface for them. :)
