Just a few months ago, I hadn't really ever heard of LulzSec. They're becoming big news, fast. Looks like while they and Anonymous were doing a bit of sniping at each other, something must've pissed them off recently,
as they've decided to team up and are reaching out to hackers around the world to unite against governments.
..and why are they doing this? This sounds like something an anarchy group would do. Unless they have a good reason, it seems like a nuisance.

According to what I've read, they started mostly for the fun of it. Most wh hats hack a site to show that it's not secured; apparently, this is part of what they do. The other part is for the laughs.

.... I am a big fan of them.. they go in, gather info, and share it. Real hackers following the traditions... BUT it is strange nobody's ever heard
of them before a few months ago, and they're getting some real interesting stuff.
Turns out they weren't really around more than a few months ago. I'm sure y heard the news they've "concluded" their 50 day cruise.
I checked out their IRC channel...seemed pretty chaotic in there, literally hundreds of people hanging out n stuff. I tried trolling a lil bit, went ba in as fbi23 or some such thing and pretended to mess up private messaging so random dude about taking in this guy who was rambling on...didn't phase nobo tho, and I got bored and left...lol

Naw, I didn't know the Lulz Boat only had a short trip on the high seas... Smart idea, though.. Tackle a few large projects, then disappear.

believing they were that young. If they're really smart, they're hacking from netbooks at semi-public locations, and communicating using alternate
We are Lulz Security, and this is our final release, as today marks something meaningful to us. 50 days ago, we set sail with our humble ship
Netbooks that don't have SSDs in them. Wear leveling in SSDs
pretty much renders traditional "secure wipe" utilities useless.
Alternatively, run from a pre-created encrypted volume on an
SSD. Still no pure secrecy there, though, because there's
a cryptography algorithm in play. Crypto only serves to delay
exposure of secrets, not prevent their discovery completely.
With usb flash drives being as cheap as they are (only need 1 or 2GB
drives; buy a bunch in volume!), create your OS image...burn it, use it, literally BURN it, repeat as necessary...
