Anybody here that's into model rockets at all? I read one account recently about some people that were doing rocketry and they had been making their own propellant mixes and everything. Never thought about it before, but after I saw the propellant and everything it started seeming to me that maybe this would be a fun hobby and something that could be useful if civil unrest and massive oppression comes to the USA. Heh. Anyway, it's taken on a lot more interest for me and I was wondering if anybody could suggest any resources other than what I'm turning up on google for learning up through firing one's first rocket. I'd kind of like to have a project like this that I could work on with my son.
    TIA

    I tryed amataur class once.
I didnt like it much. spend buck for hardware and then chase all over for it on landing hoping someone dont smash it up. those M engines are pretty neat thou.
