I've used a few KVM switches in the past, and I've found tht KVM switches usually have occasional glitches of some sort - sometimes some keyboard keys don't work, sometimes the picture on the monitor is bad after switching to another computer, etc.. I was wondering, why do KVM switches have these glitches so often? Is it really that difficult to switch the connection of the
keyboard, mouse, and monitor to a different computer? Ideally, it should be just like unplugging them from one computer and plugging them into a different
computer, and it should work fine.
DVI/HDMI + USB ones are a lot more stable.. the bigger issue is that some ar passive, some active, and some systems just don't work with a keyboard or mouse (ps/2) being unplugged and re-plugged in... not always the KVM...
