Seeing a radio with a voice recorder got me to thinking... If you use a voice recorder to record your voice saying your call sign, then someone (kids, family, etc) was to get on the radio and do something they wasn't supposed to do and press the button to announce your call sign, it'd seem
to me you could get into some serious trouble trying to prove it wasn't you....Especially if their voice sounded like your voice. Especially on HF Bands where heavy distortion can be heard....
It is your station that is licensed, not the operator. If you are at the control point and letting someone else talk on the radio, they would identify using your call.But if you are not there for them to make the call... Which is why
