don't think the FCC really cares about people using digital modes.
Hearsay has it that they care more about people using linear amplifiers.
chatter coming from the US. The Ontario Swap Shop net sometimes gets
chewed out by US hams for "transmitting on the CW portion of the band" on
40 meters, where IIRC they meet on 7.055 on Sunday mornings.

Well, that was the funny thing. As soon as this guy piped up, several people pointed out to him that he really shouldn't be using phone there if he was so concerned about the bandplan. This only seemed to upset him
more.
