so i was watching a fox video clip. and the dude says it's like a concert type vibe here or something like that. just because people have to walk to the federal building to 'protest'. meanwhile people are tearing down the chainlink fence and trying to stop people from leaving. he was also on the wrong side. there was a much bigger protest on the other side of the building. he was essentially at the dock entrance. i wonder what they
didn't want to show at the main entrance.

Simple rule of thumb is don't block them, comply and your car will not
be wrecked or you will not face injury or death.

It is funny you mention that. I remember reading a police manual from the Hoover era and the takeaway of the prologue was exactly that.

More specifically, the manual mentioned that beating rioters was unlikely to fix things in the long run because organizers and smart activists would use useful pawns to do the grunt work and anybody with brains would be far away from the beatings when the riot brigades showed up. So basically the movement leaders would be handling all the funding etc and everybody else would be taking the hits for them.

I once met a lawyer specialized in defending rioters and his experience backs that book. Police tends to focus on the most noisy, leader-looking guy and charge him with organizing whatever protest and riot is getting out of hand but more often than not the guy was not the organizer, just somebody calling the shots on the field.

that's exactly how it is in the midwest. minnesota and wisconsin have the protesters. minnesota has rioters who are even beating up their own people.
