The BBS has just been moved to new hardware as well.
It now resides on a HP DL360 G4p with Dual Xeon 3.80 Ghz processors, and
4
GB's of RAM.
The BBS is now a lot quicker to load and much more responsive!
Stop on by play some games and have some fun!

Nice!
I have one of those servers, too.

Thanks. I got it for a really good price, so couldn't pass it up. I know it's not top end, but they ain't cheap when they're new! :)

Me too. Mine was free. :)
We have enough retired/old servers at work that I could fill a few full sized
racks with them.
I have not used it for anything yet. They are so long and deep, finding a good
location is not easy.

They're loud too. Luckily I have a spare room that it's in, with the door closed. :)
Mark, why not hang it from the wall like a picture? A 1U box would even
be
easy to frame. :)

True. It has lots of loud fans.
My server/network room is a section of the basement under the stairs. It does
have a door on it, but I would imagine I would still hear that one buzzing in
there unless it was in a rack.

The perfect spot. Out of the way, and the noise won't bother you....

The perfect spot. Out of the way, and the noise won't bother you....
I've got my BBS running on top of a 7 foot tall cupboard in my garage. The sound is isolated, and I'm the only one who can reach it! :)
I have the case on top facing sideways, and the keyboard, monitor and mouse routed inside of a cupboard with a door - close the door and no one could te there's a system running in there.
