    I'm not sure there's a big real-life connection between
    humanoid robots and AI, though we've often connected them in
    science fiction. My Amazon Echoes (with Alexa+) are usually
    within voice-reach for my Q&A needs (when I'm not in front of a
    computer or phone), though I guess AI could potentially help
    keep droids from falling over or running out of juice so often.

    The Chinese seem to be making inroads when it comes to humanoids and AI. From what I have read, they are hoping to use them in factories and also possibly as companions. They have not perfected anything yet.
