Have you ever had a really nice sleep like when you come back after a
meal with friends and family on a Sunday after Church and you feel nice
and tired later on after eating a lot (from starters to mains to desert
    to coffee).

The last time I felt that was when Sabbath services was in the morning instead of the afternoons. I used to be able to go to church in the morning, eat out for lunch with some Sabbath friends, and then go home to take a nap.

Ever since I have moved to a different state, Sabbath services is in the afternoon now, so I just sleep in as long as I can or when my son walks in our room.

My first job was working at a fast food place, and if we were sick and couldn't come in, they sometimes had us call around to the other employees and ask if they could cover for us. One time when I was about 17, I was scheduled to work on a Sunday but had a cold or something, so I was calling around to try to find someone to cover for me. Many of the employees were fairly young, around my age, and I got someone's dad on the phone. I explained I was looking for the other person to see if they could cover for my shift, and the person's dad said "Shouldn't you be in church?" I never attented church regularly, and I thought it was a bit rude for someone to ask that, implying (or assuming) that other people should be following their same religious beliefs and practices..

Yeah, seems to be an American thing these days, the assumption about church definitely doesn't hold here, though in my case, I'm more than simply a lapsed <insert denomination here>. I was raised Church of England and went to sunday school and church regularly as a kid, but the family drifted away from church when we moved (the old minister was one reason we kept going, he was well respected).

Later in life, as I gained my own understanding, I actively chose a different path, so going to church was no longer likely, unless it was for someone else's wedding or funeral. These days, I joke that I go to the "Church of the Big Red Truck", because the bulk of our firefighting training happens on a Sunday morning. :)
