im sarch for the boarland 5.5 free compiler..are links on the world are broken =(
Is there a specific reason you need the Borland 5.5 compiler
though? That's a fairly old one. If you're on Windows, Microsoft
has a free edition of Visual Studio. Microsoft even makes a Linux
version of Visual Studio now.
Microsoft makes a version of Visual Studio Code for linux, which is just an editor. Visual Studio itself is available only on Windows and macOS (though the macOS is very new and I think based on mono).

It looks like this page has it - The download link worked for me: https://borland-c.software.informer.com/5.5/

I will use to compile Worldgroup/Major BBS modules, unfortunately the
source code wont build with newers compilers like gcc, wattcom, etc...
Check out themajorbbs.com. Their "Project Phoenix" is, for all intents and purposes, redoing the whole MBBS/WorldGroup so that it can compile and be used on modern platforms. They are actively running it in Windows and are very soon going to port to Linux. Elwynor Technologies (elwynor.com) offers a number of modules that are also being ported to the new v10 code.
