Yea it's running fine. In the editor options (and there are hundreds) I h Automatic Maintenance set to NO instead of YES and I have a nightly maint event that runs USURPER.EXE /FMAINT for forced maintenance.

ah.. I'll have to try that.

I've tried running USURPER.EXE /FMAINT, and when I do so, the first thing it does is pauses to wait for a keypress. If I'm going to be running that in my nightly maintenance event, I don't want it to just sit there waiting for a keypress.. Do you know if there's a way to disable the waiting for a keypress?

that's strange, it works good for me, but I don't have the newest release, the on-execute maintence does'nt take long either.

    I think I found a solution to this - If I pass the /L switch (for "local mode"), it doesn't ask for a keypres. i.e.: USURPER.EXE /L /FMAINT

No I have no idea. It doesn't seem to pause for me. It doesn't seem to pause for Jon's BBS either, except it appeared nightly maintenance didn't run at all for him so I wrote a note and wtf'd. It wouldn't even play for me over there when I tried it the next day so there might be some other issues :(

On the usurper forums I saw people complaining about a pause for their /FMAINT's and one guy said he got around it by using /HMAINT although I don't know what that does yet.

Worst case, if your installs of Usurper are new enough that not much will be lost, I could just zip up Lightning's copy to give you?

Also go through all the options with EDITOR.EXE and make sure the newer ones towards the bottom have YES NO or numerical values, I saw where an upgrade script corrupted those and put a bunch of text's and ------>'s instead of the proper values they are supposed to have.

I've thoroughly customized my copy and colored it in out of general habit, and that's when I noticed a few texts and options where they shouldn't be.

I think I may have found a solution.. Adding the /L option (local mode) seems to make it work without pausing and waiting for a keypress.

I was reading through the Usurper documentation, and it says that /HMAINT forces maintenance to run, whereas /FMAINT will only allow maintenance to run once per day.
