Heh. My testing was just me setting up logrotate.d for binkd log rotation, so I could get a cool little binkd logstats report like the one in AGN_HUB. Nailed it, forced a log rotation, generated the report, posted it to a local message base and to the webserver for easy access.

Now, I just need to figure out how to get htick hatch to work upon upload to certain file bases... So, I can easily hatch out files I'm planning to start producing for Synchronet mods. :)

Now, lets see how well NNTP parts work. I know some people disable the
SMTP, POP3, FTP, and NNTP, but I actually run Synchronet to be able to
have all of those features. :)

So, here's to testing! Gotta love it. Good tests. ;)

I didn't notice the first time. But it looks like his system is using it's Agoranet node number in it's MSGID and origin, but adding it's Fidonet node number to the PATH.

Good thing my system isn't affected by it and continuing to pass it on via Agoranet, otherwise we'd have more problems.

As you say modern tossers seem to be able to deal with that stuff without

New version of Renemail source. Let's hope it works this time.

It is working this time. :D

I'm too lazy to look it up, too. I'm sure Mark will let you know when he reads here, though, but...

While it doesn't affect Agoranet or most othernets, the way Fidonet links are multi-linked for a single echo to prohibit power-trip takeovers as have happened in the past, messages with no MSGID make more than one trip around the
network (ie: dupe), due to some of the dupe checkers out there only checking MSGID. When there isn't one present, some tossers just continue to pass them on
even though they've already been received, since there was no MSGID to check.

    Long story short, anyway. ;)

MSGID and REPLY are defined in FTS-0009, available from the ftsc.org website.

IMO sheer laziness on the programmer's part. D'Bridge does very robust dupe-checking without MSGID's... doesn't even know what they are.

I'd have to agree with you on that one, though I'm still waiting for one of those robust dupe checkers included in a 3rd party Linux tosser. ;)

HPT would easily be replaced with DB or FMail once they're usable. The BBS, however, someday I'd like to switch it to Mystic whenever I get the motivation - something that's been severely lacking in recent months.
