Can you see if you can hit port 2023 via telnet or binkd via 25444
on ipv6 for me? I updated the router to dd-wrt, and in the process
ended up with a new ipv6 address but I've updated it on namecheap so I /think/ it should be working.
ip6tables -I FORWARD 3 -d ipv6address -p tcp --dport 2023 -j ACCEPT
That's what I used anyway so we'll see. :)
Where exactly did you type that ip6tables command? On the machine your BBS/binkp server's are running on? If so, that wouldn't do anything
for your router. In the exact same way you open IPv4 ports on your
router, you have to do for IPv6 as well. So there should be a
completely separate section for IPv6 port forwarding. Sometimes (like
in my case) there is a separate section under Firewall > IPv6
Firewall where this can be done.
On the router. It runs DD-WRT which is an open source firmware etc
etc.
Nope. Okay I'll go back to the iptables / wrt forums. I'll get it.

In my past experience with dd-wrt, you shouldn't need to use ip6tables
at all. Or did they change their GUI?
It should just be a simple setting, just like port forwarding for IPv4 addresses. Is that not the case?

Must have, there is no fowarding section for ipv6 now.
I think it didn't work because I forgot to launch mystic. <Giggle>
One more try?

While I lol'd at that one. It's still not connecting. :)
Same goes for port 25444.
Are you forwarding that exact address above in ip6tables? It may have changed on you at some point. Either way, you definitely have your
AAAA record setup properly, so the issue is currently with your
router.
24555 or 24556 or 2023 or 2323. Those are all 4 ports I've got
fowarded to the pi for ipv6.
I'll get it Nick. Could you try all four of the above ports for me
one last time this week? I'm going to go back to the drawing board
after this on my next "weekend" I have time.
I do apreciate it man. ;)

Nothing on all 4 ports. I also did a "whois" on tinysbbs.com, which
gave proper results (except you may want to think about enabling some protection on your domain (like WhoisGuard), as it gives your address
and phone number out to anyone/everyone that does a whois on you).
Nadda. Check to make sure your IPv6 address didn't change on you - compared to what you've enabled in your ip6tables statements.

No worries, brutha. Gives me something to do when I'm bored. :)
