    Hi,

I'm trying to get downloads working with Impulse BBS. For some reason,
"sz" works (partially), but "sexyz" doesn't at all. Here's what Syncterm says while trying to initiate a download:

    "
    Sending ZRINIT
    Warning: recv_raw: Cancelled remotely
Warning: recv_init: Received 16 instead of ZFILE or ZFIN
    Hit any key to continue...
    "

Can anyone make any sense out of all this?

Netrunner (SDL) also tries to download, but it isn't quite as verbose as Syncterm is.

    Thanks,
    -ig

    That's not a good sign..

I'm not sure what that is all about but if your setup is telnetable I could
try with minicom and/or nodespy and let you know what I see on my end.

Thanks. I tried NodeSpy. No difference. You are welcome to try Minicom,
though. The BBS address is "catch22bbs.com" port 26.

Ok. I figured it out. Impulse creates a file in its directory called "fi.lst". I found a nifty little program called "uxfer" which is basically a wrapper
for sz and rz. I passed fi.lst to that program, and it works.
Thanks for all of your help. I appreciate it.

Glad dyou figured it out, I was just about to have a look. I likely will at some point anyway.. :)

My internet (and phone and TV) has been down the last 2 days or I would have been there sooner.
