I want to make a distro that is a modification of Arch. All I want from
it is to come with a very specific set of software and to not receive updates from Arch. How would I go about this?
I'd love to hear about making a roll-your-own debian distro, but what I meant was make a distro that modifies very little of Arch to the point that it uses the same package manager connected to the same servers, but when syncing the packages, does not attempt to update my distro as it would an Arch distro. I'm thinking that that's not possible and it would have to be conencted to different servers, but I just thought I'd ask :)
it's not that i don't want to update it. i don't want it to receive updates that would turn it back from my distro into Arch.
